What does a normal class look like?
Our classes begin with a dynamic warm-up and a discussion about our weekly Ninja Goals. We then move into skill development, where kids practice different techniques to use on the obstacle course. They have the opportunity to test their skills and have fun navigating the course. We wrap up with a team activity, a cool-down, and stretch, during which we talk as a group about our different Willing 2 Values
What skills or experience does my child need to join Ninja classes?
No prior experience is necessary! Our program accommodates a variety of skill levels. However, to help ensure a successful experience in our structured team setting, we ask that participants have the following base-level skills:
- Ability to follow directions from the coach and wait for instructions before using equipment.
- Respect for others’ space (no hitting, jumping on, or pushing).
- Wearing appropriate attire (shoes, shirt, and shorts/pants).
- Independent use of the washroom.
- Enjoyment and participation in team activities.
If your child is still developing these skills or if you have concerns about their readiness, feel free to reach out to Chelsea or Jordy to discuss any support that may be needed.
Can my child start classes anytime?
Absolutely! With our monthly enrollment, kids can jump in whenever they’re ready. Our coaches are excited to meet them where they’re at, providing both encouragement and challenges as they grow. Classes are always prorated, so you’ll only pay for the sessions left in the month!
What should my child wear to class?
To keep everyone safe and comfortable during class, we require that kids wear athletic clothing, tie back long hair, and remove all jewelry. For the maintenance and proper care of our equipment, as well as safety, kids must wear clean indoor athletic shoes; Please note that socks, Crocs, boots, and similar options are not acceptable. Also, remember to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
Do you offer trial classes?
Yes! We understand that trying new things can be a big decision for kids. If your child wants to see what our ninja program is all about before committing, just email us at info@willing2ninja.com to set up a trial session
Is there a viewing area for parents?
Our new location prioritizes space for our Ninjas, so there is no designated viewing area inside the gym. However, you can watch through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors at the front. If you’d like to stay, please bring a chair and set up outside.
For Ninjas still adjusting to being away from parents, please contact Chelsea or Jordy to discuss support options.
For many 4-year-olds, trying new activities can be challenging. To support them, we require a parent or guardian to stay in the facility during classes. Limited seating is available (one seat per child) for parents to watch from the sidelines. Thank you for helping us create a positive experience for our young Ninjas.
How does monthly enrollment work?
With monthly enrollment, your child is enrolled in ongoing classes without needing to re-register each season. Membership renews automatically each month, offering consistent learning and the flexibility to start or pause as needed. This model ensures steady skill progression and lets families join or make changes on a month-to-month basis.
How does billing work?
Our standard monthly fee is $110, covering four classes per month. Billing is processed on the 1st of each month for the upcoming month. Fees are adjusted for any holidays, closures, or additional class days, so you’ll only be billed for the classes scheduled that month.
Can we switch days if needed?
Yes! If your schedule changes and you need to switch class days, simply reach out to us. We’ll do our best to accommodate based on availability in other classes.
How do we withdraw from the program?
To withdraw from the program, please provide us with 30 days’ written notice via email at info@willing2ninja.com. For example, if you wish to stop attending classes at the end of December, please let us know by November 30. This notice period allows us to plan and open up spots for other families.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and AMEX. If you need an alternative payment method, such as cash or e-transfer, or if you’d like to pay for multiple months in advance, please reach out to us at info@willing2ninja.com.
Just a quick note: Cash or e-transfer payments require a minimum of three months to be paid in advance.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! We offer a 10% discount for families enrolling multiple siblings and for each additional day your child joins us! This means you’ll receive a 10% discount on the registration fee for each extra sibling or additional class day your child attends each week.
Just a quick note: To apply this discount for the first month, all sibling registrations and extra days need to be processed together. After that, the discounts will automatically apply to future months, making it easy for you to enjoy the savings!
Do you offer refunds?
Credit for Unforeseen Circumstances: Life can be unpredictable. If your child is unable to continue attending classes due to unforeseen circumstances, such as an injury that prevents participation, we’re here to help. We will apply a credit for the remaining classes in the month to your account, allowing your child to resume their ninja training when they’re ready.
Important Exclusions to Note:
Regular Absences: Please note that regular missed classes, due to non-attendance or other reasons, are not eligible for refunds or credits. This policy is in place to ensure fairness and consistency for all our young ninjas.
Vacations: We do not offer credits for classes missed due to vacations. We encourage families to review the class schedule and consider their vacation plans when enrolling their child.
How can I apply for financial assistance through A4K or Jumpstart?
By visiting the Financial Assistance Page on our website. There, you’ll find the information about the criteria for both Programs, along with direct links to their application forms. If you have any questions during the application process, please reach out to A4K or Jumpstart directly.
What is your coach to kid ratio?
We maintain a low coach-to-kid ratio to ensure personalized attention and a safe, engaging environment. Our ratio is typically 1 coach per 6 kids.
What if we arrive late to class?
We understand that life can sometimes cause delays. Kids are allowed to join our classes up to 10 minutes after the start time. As warm-ups are crucial to prevent injury and ensure everyone’s safety, we encourage timely arrival.
